Melinda is a 1990 graduate from Baylor School of Law. She attended LSU-Shreveport for her undergraduate degree and graduated with Bachelor of Arts in Sociology.
Melinda has practiced in the property tax arena for almost 25 years. She is a frequent speaker on property tax issues.
Rick is a 2001 graduate from the Texas Tech School of Law, with honors. He attended the University of Texas at Arlington where he obtained his degree in Political Science. Rick also achieved his CMI designation from the Institute of Professionals in Taxation.
Rick is one of the few attorneys who represent property owners who have achieved this designation. He is uniquely qualified to understand valuation issues which arise in property tax disputes.
Laura is a Legal Assistant for Blackwell & Duncan, PLLC. She has a degree in Legal Studies from Collin College and is certified by the National Association of Legal Assistants as an Advanced Certified Paralegal. She is also a licensed real estate agent.
Ashley is a Property Tax Consultant and Legal Assistant for Blackwell & Duncan, PLLC. She is a 2006 graduate from the University of North Texas in Denton where she obtained her degree in Applied Arts and Sciences. Ashley has worked with Melinda and Rick since 2007 and handles the varied aspects of property tax administration for the firm.
